The African National Congress (ANC) has outlined its key policy priorities in this 2019 election manifesto. The policy, Quality Health for All (pages 41-43) seeks to implement a National Health Insurance to provide quality health care free at the point of use; fill critical vacant posts in public health facilities; absorb community health care workers into the public health system; screen additional people for TB and ensure at least 90% of HIV positive people are on treatment.
