The Social Democrats have been fighting for a better Denmark and a better world since 1871, based on their three goals: striving for individual freedoms and security; ensuring people have the opportunity to live in a just democratic society with social, environmental and economic sustainability; and to spread democracy, democratic socialism, global equality, international solidarity and security. The Party’s policy on employment seeks to create a welfare state where those who can work are in employment enabling people to contribute where they can. The policy aims to strengthen vocational schools and continuing education, and proposes a qualification reform.
