The Social Democrats have been fighting for a better Denmark and a better world since 1871, based on their three goals: striving for individual freedoms and security; ensuring people have the opportunity to live in a just democratic society with social, environmental and economic sustainability; and to spread democracy, democratic socialism, global equality, international solidarity and security. The Party’s policy on children seeks to create the best opportunities for children. This includes ensuring strong day care institutions and primary schools that can give all children and young people a good start in life and the best conditions for doing well and getting an education.
