The Honest Politics policy of the Social Democrats (Ireland) aims to restore trust in politics and public life and ensure accountability is a meaningful component of all systems of governance and oversight. It reinforces the lack of prevention, detection and prosecution of corruption and white-collar crime, and seeks to establish an independent Anti-Corruption Agency to deal with this. The Policy further proposes the rebalance of political funding.
