The Affordable Lives policy of the Social Democrats (Ireland) prioritises a reduction in the cost of living, where people have more money in their pocket on a daily basis and where there is investment in public services. Reducing the cost of living includes bringing down the cost of housing, insurance and energy; provision of affordable childcare options for parents; reducing healthcare costs; and making primary and secondary education truly free.
