The African National Congress (ANC) has outlined its key policy priorities in its 2019 election manifesto. The policy, A Nation United in Diversity (pages 60-65) provides a commitment to working to unite all South Africans to overcome the divisions of the past and build a country in which all belong and feel at home. It will do this by implementing indigenous languages programmes in schools; introducing laws to combat hate crimes based on race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation and albinism; promoting media freedom and diversity; including the needs of people with disability in all government programmes; and celebrating all cultures during national holidays.
