The Green Party United States (GPUS) was founded in 1984 on a foundation of 10 Key Values. The GPUS Platform consists of Four Pillars: Democracy; Social Justice; Ecological Sustainability; and Economic Justice and Sustainability. The GPSU transportation policy emphasizes he use of mass transit and alternatives to cars and trucks for transport, and calls for major public investment in mass transportation which will be cheap or free to the public and are safe and accessible.
