The Green Party United States (GPUS) was founded in 1984 on a foundation of 10 Key Values. The GPUS Platform consists of Four Pillars: Democracy; Social Justice; Ecological Sustainability; and Economic Justice and Sustainability. The GPUS policy on Livable income calls for a universal basic income which should go to every adult. This amount should be sufficient so that anyone who is unemployed can afford basic food and shelter.
