The Green Party United States (GPUS) was founded in 1984 on a foundation of 10 Key Values. The GPUS Platform consists of Four Pillars: Democracy; Social Justice; Ecological Sustainability; and Economic Justice and Sustainability. The GPUS policy on Ocean Protection provides a list of proposed solutions including protection of marine reserves, and a range of bans on poor marine practices.
