The Green Party United States (GPUS) was founded in 1984 on a foundation of 10 Key Values. The GPUS Platform consists of Four Pillars: Democracy; Social Justice; Ecological Sustainability; and Economic Justice and Sustainability. The GPUS policy on Free Speech and Media Reform under the Democracy Pillar defines its commitment to access to news and information to make responsible informed choices as voters and to carry out their duties of citizenship.
