The Green Party United States (GPUS) was founded in 1984 on a foundation of 10 Key Values. The GPUS Platform consists of Four Pillars: Democracy; Social Justice; Ecological Sustainability; and Economic Justice and Sustainability. The GPSU policy on Climate Change, reflects the view that climate change is the gravest environmental, social and economic peril that humanity has ever met and it seeks to stop it by enacting a Green New Deal to turn the tide on climate change.
