The Green Party United States (GPUS) was founded in 1984 on a foundation of 10 Key Values. The GPUS Platform consists of Four Pillars: Democracy; Social Justice; Ecological Sustainability; and Economic Justice and Sustainability. The ‘Black Lives Matter’ mission statement of the GPUS aims to increase participation of men and women of African and African American descent in the political and policy-making process of the GPUS, to increase their election victories in the United States electoral politics, and to build the GPUS platform in the interests of communities of African-American descent.
