The ANC policy on fighting crime and corruption forms part of the overarching Policy on Peace and Stability. The Fighting Crime and Corruption Policy resolutions include: enhancing cooperation of all anti-corruption agencies; rotation of public servants in areas of deployment to prevent corruption relations developing with clients and/or service providers; vetting audits for all employees of state; decisive action against members involved in corruption; public and private sectors to undergo financial interest disclosure and lifestyle audits; increased capacity of police officers and policing capability; strengthening consequence management; leaders and members alleged to be involved in corrupt activities to step aside until names are cleared; more police visibility in tourist routes and sites and perpetrators of crimes against women and children to receive harsher sentences.
