The Social Democratic Party’s ideological position is based on democratic socialism, and the belief in democracy and the struggle for social equity. Section 1: A Green and Sustainable Future outlines the commitment to introducing binding targets for the reduction of greenhouse gases; a transition in the transport sector to green mobility; securing climate contributions from agriculture to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; adoption of a climate action plan; combating plastic pollution and ensuring better drinking water protection; assuming responsibility for more ambitious targets in the EU and enhancing green diplomacy; creating greater biodiversity; strenghthening green calculation models into the Ministry of Finance calculations; and increasing organic food targets and strenghtening initiatives against food waste.
