The Social Democratic Party’s ideological position is based on democratic socialism, and the belief in democracy and the struggle for social equity. The document ‘A fair direction for Denmark’ is a summary of a political understanding between the Social Democratic Party, Radikale Venstre, SF and Enhedslisten which outlines the 2019 elected government’s proposed policies. Section 3: A stronger welfare society, outlines the commitment to welfare and includes: increasing dignity within elderly care; investing in health; improved psychiatric care; improvement of opportunities for people with special needs; help for vulnerable people on the margins of society; and ensuring more equal opportunities for men and women.
