Chapter 6, Articles 63 to 86 of the Frelimo Party statutes approved at the 11th Frelimo Congress in 2017 refer to the central party bodies and officers, including their responsibilities, competencies, composition, meeting requirements and deliberations. The Articles refer inter alia to the functions of the party president and the replacement of the president in the event that the president is temporarily unable to play their role.
