The ANC Consolidated Report on Organisational Renewal has three parts. Part A deals with strengthening organisational capacity and structures. Section 26 deals with the candidate selection process for public representatives, focusing on the qualities required for deployed ANC cadres to ensure they act as representatives of the people not only the ANC; the need for Ward candidates to be upstanding citizens with broad-based support; ensuring selection practices are not skewed; and the need to screen candidates at ward level.
