The ANC policy on peace and stability identifies the following challenges and resolutions to deal with them: activities of foreign forces; continuing lawlessness and impunity threatening the authority of the state; porous borders; acts of crim and criminality which threaten the well-being and safety of people; slow economic transformation which threatens economic development; terrorism; and information and cyber. The policy resolutions focus on the following issues and relevant departments: correctional services, home affairs, defence; military veterans; private security, justice and constitutional development, and fighting crime and corruption.
