The Green Party United States (GPUS) was founded in 1984 on a foundation of 10 Key Values. The GPUS Platform consists of Four Pillars: Democracy; Social Justice; Ecological Sustainability; and Economic Justice and Sustainability. The policy, Welfare: A Commitment to Ending Poverty, focuses on providing a holistic, future-focused perspective on how to distribute resources in the country to support families, children, the poor and the disabled.
